SAS surgeons are now welcomed as MRCS clinical examiners

In a significant development that will enhance inclusivity and address the pressing need to accommodate higher numbers of candidates, SAS (Specialty and Associate Specialist) doctors can now serve as MRCS and MRCS (ENT) clinical examiners.
The eligibility criteria for MRCS clinical examiners have expanded to recognise SAS doctors’ knowledge, skills and experience, providing opportunities for a more diverse pool of professionals to participate in examining activities.
This decision is expected to bolster recruitment efforts for the Court of Examiners and accommodate the growing number of MRCS candidates in the United Kingdom and internationally.
