New accessibility guides launched
27 February 2023

We have partnered with AccessAble to create detailed Access Guides to all our rooms and examination spaces in our London HQ. The Guides include facts, figures and photographs to help visitors and staff plan their journey to and around the College, covering everything from parking facilities and lifts to walking distances and accessible toilets.
We know everyone’s accessibility needs are different, which is why having detailed, accurate information is so important. It’s why all of the details have been checked in person, on site, by trained surveyors.
Jackie Weller, Deputy Chief Executive at The Royal College of Surgeons of England, said: “We are delighted to have worked in partnership with AccessAble and are thrilled to launch our Access Guides recognising how crucial access information is for all our visitors and staff.
We recognise everyone’s accessibility needs are different and our guides provide information to help everyone plan head of their visit, familiarise themselves with our building and create as stress-free an experience as possible. We aim to foster an inclusive environment to enable people to learn, collaborate and enjoy themselves in our unique surroundings: the home of surgery. We encourage feedback and will learn to continually improve your visit to our College.”
